Picnic on the Prom.

We all fancied a day at the beach yesterday.  All that is except William, (he didn't feel up to it) and Trev who was in bed because he had been working nights.  The weather forecast wasn't good but we took a picnic anyway.

We all had plenty of layers of clothes on to keep warm.

The tide was in when we got there.

By the time we had walked back the tide had gone out and everybody could play on the sand.

DSC_9710bDSC_9711bDSC_9712bDSC_9713b Uncle Gary chased Charlie.  He was giggling like you wouldn't believe.  So was Charlie!

The boys played on the sand, in and out of the water.  By hometime George and Nicholas's jeans were wet through.  Luckily Victoria had thought to bring an extra set of clothes for them.  She knew they'd be needed.

As you can see it turned into a lovely day, breezy yes, but lovely all the same.   Also it was Mother's Day yesterday and what better way to spend it than with my girls and their boys.

Thank you girls for my charm of a pressie, I love it!

I'm hoping next time we hit the beach it might be a bit warmer.

TTFN,

Kathleen.

I live near the coast, and in a place that's very HOT. I don't really like the beach during the hot weather. What I actually enjoy is an outing to the beach when it's colder.

Your day sounds wonderful. Mother's Day here is in May. I don't care what I do so long as I do it with my kids.

Happy belated Mother's Day to you. Looks like you had a lovely time despite the cold. That's gotte be better than the dust we've had the past two days. :/ Have a great rest of the week. Tammy

Aways great photos...looks a bit cold, but a picnic sounds like so much fun. I just looked at your scrapbooking site...wonderful. I would have loved doing that when my kids were younger!

I love how children are able to bring sunshine with them where ever they go no matter what breeze might be blowing. Sweet pictures.

Kathleen,
I love a spur of the moment picnic and going to the beach is a plus! I live near the beach and I do like it a bit cooler when I go. It looks like you had so much fun with your family...nothing better for celebrating Mother's Day.
